The banks I worked with spent millions training their analysts. Meanwhile, most young New Zealanders are figuring out money on their own — often making expensive mistakes that take years to undo.

I have a Physics PhD, which means I'm wired to understand complex systems. But more importantly, I've spent my career translating that complexity into plain English. That's what I did for nearly two decades across the world's biggest investment banks — and that's exactly what I want to do here.

I was one of the first people to join Financial Edge, founded by Alastair Matchett — a firm that became one of the most respected financial training companies in the world. I set up and led the Asia-Pacific division, teaching financial modelling, company valuation, and capital markets to thousands of professionals across the globe. Financial Edge was later acquired by Wall Street Prep in 2025.

But I'm also a New Zealander. I've lived here for over a decade, I hold New Zealand citizenship, and I'm a qualified investment adviser registered here. I recently invested in PPNZL, an insurance brokerage, because I believe Kiwis deserve access to proper retirement and investment guidance — not just the basics.

MyMoneyPlan is my way of giving back. No jargon. No sales pitch. Just the financial education I wish every 22-year-old Kiwi had access to — the same stuff the banks pay tens of thousands of dollars to teach their analysts.
